Works. Stops accelerator noise in speakers.
These things eliminate alternator or accelerator whine noises in your speakers. My issue will come up every now and then and be very annoying while driving. The issues occurs when you press down on the accelerator pedal and the pinch of the whine goes up and down with the engine rpms. What is happening is when you press on the accelerator pedal, it spins the alternator faster. The alternator recharges the battery and provides a current through out the car. So the speed of the alternator spinning, changes the whine noise up and down. This is how you can tell that the alternator whine is your problem and you will need 2 of these units to stop it. Sure you can get away with just using 1 of these, but you have to figure out which power wire is the one that is giving you the whine or maybe both power wires are giving you the whine. It's better to be safe than wait more days to ship another one. The 2 power wire I am talking about is the acc/constant power to the stereo deck and the power switch/when the key is in the acc or on position. I used 1 unit on each of these wires. The blue wire on the unit is the power from your car/battery. The red wire on the unit is the power out to your stereo deck. The black wire on the unit is ground. Very simple to wire up. Didnt even work a little bit for me.

They work
What can I say but they worked. I thought my high pitched whine noise was my radio but once I got these installed I found out it was something else making the "noise". Like another comment suggested I bought and installed 2 with 1 on the "power" line and 1 on the "constant" line to eliminate any possibility of noise feedback through either wire. Well at least there was no noise coming through the speakers because of these. A tip for others..if you are hearing a high pitched whine noise at highway speed, safely put car in neutral at highway speed and rev the motor to see if you hear the noise. not reccomended for use on old school equalizer boosters
only 1/8 of the alternator was removed if anything at all. but how ever it did not seem to take any power away from eq at all, and did not dim any of the speaker sound.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Engine noise gone.
My ground connections were solid and all checked out with a multimeter but I still had a touch of alternator whine. I know these are only supposed to be 'band aid' for grounding issues but this this thing brought sweet silence to my system.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
