COMBLOC AF! Perfect for any AK with a rail.
If you are looking for an authentic, tough as nails, genuine Russian, COMBLOC red dot to top off your AK then this is the one. I did quite a bit of studying before the final decision to purchase and am extremely pleased with this collimator type sight. Low profile, clear glass, crisp dot, stays zeroed when removed and reinstalled, dot brightness graduations are good and I have had no issues with “wash out” when shooting from a dark room into bright sunlight. I really can’t say anything bad about it after a month of pretty steady use. I read some people talking about it’s heavy but it is well balanced when on the rifle and is definitely worth the added weight especially if you are older like me and failing eyesight makes longer distance shooting difficult with the old open sights. The bore of the piece is nice and big for speedy target acquisition and I have experienced no parallax issues shooting “both eyes open”. While you can’t use the open sights with the optic on the rifle, it only takes a second to remove it. It has found its home on top of my 5.56 ‘74 and that’s where it will stay but works just as well on 7.62x39 and 5.45. Uses one regular American AA battery so no adapters or hunting down wierd batteries and the life of the battery is reasonable, mine hasn’t run out yet. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to put an optic on their AK, but for the AK purist, it is the perfect optic available. So far I would feel quite comfortable using it in any situation that could come around.

Unexpectedly good battery life!
Optics are clear, adjustments simple and easy. Battery life is a promised 400 hours, but I got over a year of leaving it set to position '4' ! I call that a win. Excelent quality, can cowitness the iron sights, and has a brightness setting compatible with NODs. Also to mention the dot is very clean with minimal "splash". Would recommend this optic to anyone who doesn't want to bubba their classic AK.

Robust with authenticity and value.
This red dot scope will co witness perfectly with an Arsenal SLR and is slightly higher on a Romanian M63 but will co witnesses. The scope is robust military grade and it authentic for the AK platform. It locks up tight and will hold the zero.
