Great espresso / cappuccino maker and simple to use
Delonghi EC860 is a very well made machine and it makes great espresso fast and easy. The instruction book was too fine print to be useful to me but YouTube has a tutorial that even I understood. The only thing I would highly suggest is to use distilled water only, then you won't need to buy water filters and not have to worry about scale buildup that is what kills most machines and distilled water is very cheap insurance on this machine you will love. The best Espresso and Cappuccino maker for home!
I made a little research on many coffee machines before deciding which one to buy, and this one was the winner. My partner loves to drink cappuccinos (that I used to make for him because he didn't know how to) and this new machine can do it automatically in no more than 30 seconds. it brews really nice, and it's really easy. Love this espresso machine
Made well. Looks clean. The parts are well made. It has an attachment that foams milk for you. You can press a single button and it will make you a latte or cap. You can control the level of foam you want and the thickness. I wasn’t sure about it at first but it does save time and effort and is really good. It also has an attachment so you can steam the milk yourself. So if you are making cider or just prefer to froth your own milk that is still an option. The espresso itself tastes wonderful. Not like one of the cheaper machines have made me in the past. Easy to clean. Attachments have a self clean to clear the pipes after use so you don’t have to take it all apart every use. It takes about 30 seconds to warm up to use so no standing around all day. Comes with a quick directions guide which is easy to follow. If you have ever owned an espresso machine before it will be no problem. Wonderful machine!
This was a big step up for me and well worth the "investment." The automatic function is a nice change of pace as well as the fact that it almost pulls a shot within the correct time, almost every time. Moreover, it does a really nice job of frothing the milk (I use the manual frother-er-er) and no complaints about temperature either. My first espresso machine and I like it so far!
Got this machine for myself as my x’mas gift. It feels solid (quite heavy) not cheap. Used it to make espresso and cappuccino without any issues. Very easy to use. There’s a limitation of the size of cup that you can use. For example, you can’t use a regular coffee mug or thermo trembler for this machine. Also the manual didn’t mention which crema filter (1-shot or 2) to use for each preset cappuccino. This machine is programmable but if the preset settings fit my needs, I didn’t want to mess with it so I did a few experiments to find out how much espresso the machine gives to each cappuccino. The result is 2-shot so we should use 2 crema filter to make cappuccino if you are like me just want to use the preset settings instead of programming it yourself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great espresso machine
Machine works great, but you have to read the instructions. Do not forget to set the temperature level to high if you want hot drinks, and always preheat the filter by running water through it before you add the coffee. I can only use certain cups because the machine is so compact, but I think the size is an advantage for my crowded counter area. If I want to use a taller cup, I make my latte into a measuring cup and then transfer it into the tall coffee cup. super easy to use
Love it works like a charm. We have been brewing many lattes and espressos for family and friends. Super easy to brew latte with the automatic setting - my wife likes it with almond milk. also super easy to clean up with the cleaning button. I'm very happy with it.
I've had it for several weeks now and I love it. For the quick morning coffees I can use the preprogrammed cappuccino button. When I feel creative I can use the attachments to make my own creations. The coffee brews quickly and beautifully. The machine feels well built and has yet to give me any issues.
