Interview was my introduction to the alternate, modern world of vampires. Dust off the Dracula relics of the sixties and seventies: this wont negate those beloved stories, but enhances and brings the lore into modern times. Well modern for the late eighties, early nineties (can't remember the initial release date), since I first read the book way back then.
The narrative is fast paced and filled with little factoids of the then current culture that is interesting in and of itself. The narrator is superb by far. Each character can easily be distinguished, but the narrative is not lost or distracting at all.
If you love vampire lore, I would highly recommended Anne Rice's Vampire series starting with this audiodisc.
My only complaint is there are no more unabridged Anne Rice releases in the realm of audiodiscs (that I've found so far).
