So good I bought two
I am surprised how well designed this tuner is. I don't place it where the picture and online vids show, as that interfers with 3rd and 4th positions. I place it on the left side of my fiddle (looking face on), as close to the waist as I can without it obstructing the bow, and facing towards me and just leave it there. The fiddle goes nicely into the case with it still on. The secondary feature of BPM isn't really useful in that there's no click, but I didn't buy it for that reason. The way I use it is to tap my foot to the flashes and use that as my 'metronome'. My friend was so impressed with it, I bought her one for Christmas. It's good. It's neat. You'd like it - it's so much easier than using a guitar tuner that frequently pings off your keyboard or scroll onto the floor, and loads easier than using your phone.

This tuner is almost unusable. It works, but the display is very small and the centre of the display is monopolised by the alphabetical character telling you which note you're playing (as if you didn't know) and regardless of whether you're sharp or flat the display turns from green to red. It would be much easier and more logical if it showed different colours for flat and sharp ie green for good, blue for flat, red for sharp. I find my old Korg tuner on the music stand is much easier to read.

By and large, a good thing.
Very useful to keep a tuner clamped on to the fiddle (just left of the fingerboard) where it's easily checked but not in the way. It reads very easily and precisely. Slight snag: when in the case, the buttons can get pressed accidentally, which can turn it on (wasting battery), make it read upside down, and change the pitch setting.

Very neat tuner.
As a violin novice I needed a tuner to ensure that when I do play bum notes they are at least in tune. This tuner clips on to the violin and is very unobtrusive. II leave it clipped on and it does not get in the way. I recommend it especially for beginners like myself.
