    Space saving butter dish.

You can turn the lid upside down and put the dish on top, it is secure when it slots in, and it saves room, so if you haven’t got a lot of room to prep your dinner this is ideal. It is also microwave safe, I wouldn’t put the whole thing in, just the plate, without the lid.

    fatal flaw

very hard to pick up. the very low bottom lip means that when you pick it up the top bit slides out of place and you get butter all over the inside of the top. worst case scenario you drop both bits as they slide apart and your kitchen is covered in butter and broken glass. it's a complete disaster and if there are worse things happening in the world then i have yet to hear about them.

  • Stylish iconic brand label.

Glass is best for butter. Dish cleans without leaving a smell. Seems to be tough glass and I like the iconic brand on it :-)

  • Butter dish

I've been looking for a while now and found the plain retro looking butter dish .It works a treat so much so, that the butter is always left out now, so always ready to use . It looks nice and as it's a Milner makes it good quality . I really like it .

  • Super Kilner.

Kilner has to be the number one in glass butter dish's. It is very heavy duty glass ware, the lid sits very snuggly in the base so there is no chance of knocking it off. it is a generous size and will hold a standard 250g block of butter or spread with room to spare. I had owned my previous Kilner Butter Dish for years until I broke it and it only broke because I dropped it on a stone tiled floor. Highly recommended. (The butter dish not dropping it!)

  • Heavy weight but high quality.

This butter dish has quality and it fits neatly onto the fridge shelf. The only negative aspect for me is that is rather heavy for its purpose.

  • I would have thought kilner would have worked out how to produce a butter dish that had a better seal between the lid and base.the glass isn't flat.
