Make sure you know that the unit has a unique charging system.
The unit is nice, but I purchased as handle only since I had several chargers. When it arrived I found that the charging system is unique, and I had to buy a special glass and charger at almost the same cost as the handle. I aim still waiting for the charging system to arrive so I haven,nt had a chance to try the handle as yet. Philips DiamondClean Handle in Black
I have owned a number of Philips Sonicare toothbrushes, as well as other electronic toothbrushes, in the past, and each one has seemed to break down earlier than I had expected it to. I have a Norelco shaver that has lasted over 20 years, so shy can't Philips produce a toothbrush that will run for over two years? The last DiamondClean handle that I purchased seems to be a little stronger, so I'm hoping that it will last longer. Great...and the third one we've owned!
Bought two of the these Philips Sonicare Diamonds about five years ago (one for home; one for the weekly business travel road). They both wore out at the same time, and now that the travel routine is over, we only needed one replacement power handle for home use (have two of everything else, accessory-wise).
