Varta YTX20L - To fit a Harley - Lower price than OEM replacement - First thoughts
I would rate this as 4.5 stars if that was an option. The reason being the terminals are different from the original and require a thick spacer to be fitted in order to fit the battery leads. The spacer, nuts and bolts were supplied with the battery. However fitting the leads becomes more fiddly and less secure. Otherwise the battery is the same size and fit without any issues. The OEM battery this replaced lasted 10 years before the performance dropped to the point that starting the bike was not 100% guaranteed. The Varta battery starts the bike with authority, removing any doubts. If I get 5 years use out of this it will be a good buy. Any less than 4 years and the OEM battery would have been a better buy. I am generally lucky with vehicle batteries lasting 8 to 12 years, but I know other people who have batteries fail after 12 months. So far its recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
