Good basic analog scanner
The bc50xl is an older 10 channel scanner, but works well for my purposes. Not a lot in my area is analog vhf/uhf, so this allows me to listen to my local fire and ambulance dispatches. Sensitivity appears to be good with good volumeVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where analog uhf/vhf is still in use, and you only need (or want) 10 channels, this is the scanner for you. The channels it does get come in better than on my Radio Shack Pro-106. Sometimes simple is better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
