Your lightweight go with you can opener.

The knack to use it correctly can be found on YouTube. It does require sharpening to your level of safety. It requires a strong wrist to use it safely. It Can be placed on a key ring for other jobs that require a sharp edge.

    NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

The openers cam in a pack of 2. The first can I tried to open bent the opener. to the point where it is warped and no longer works. The openers were bought as a gift for a friends daughter who is going off on her Duke of Edinburgh Award camp for a week. These awards are for self reliance and planning. She would have looked good with a wonky tin opener. Thankfully I trie it before giving them to her.

  • You get what you pay for...

This LOOKS exactly like the can openers that I used to get in my Army issued Ration Packs but trust me, it's not the same... OK so it's cheap but so is the metal & the edge is dull so it struggles to penetrate a tin won't cut metal cleanly. if at all. So maybe if you want a KEYRING then this is for you?

  • Not strong. They bent first time I used 1. Not as robust as the genuine army ones I used during my service. I had to put it in my vice & hammer str8

Would not like to be stuck with this as my only means of opening tins to survive.

  • Simple, small, effective (when sharp)

This should be a good item. It's uncomplicated, easy to manufacture and quite basic. However as good as it should be it is pretty useless if the edge is not sharp. I'm glad these came in a pack of 2 because I bent the first one trying to open a can of tuna. I sharpened the second one and it works perfectly.

  • excellent features

I bought these can openers for two veterans of the armed forces & it took them back to the days when they were in the forces. They stated it was easily used compact & fitted to the key ring & very handy for using.

  • Tough little tin opener

I’ve used these when camping since a kid. And always carry one when touring by bike or camping. Lite weight. And once you get the knack of using them there’s no stopping. Even opens a Fray Benton’s tin. Bought a new one after finding I’d misplaced my one of 15yrs ( gutted)

  • Great, useful especially when travelling and all you have to eat is out of a can. Flat. Fits in purse, bag, pocket. Thanks

  • A blast from the past

I used to use an army issue model of this opener and it seemed more sturdy as this one feels that it is going to break as it was flexing on the first tin i opened with it. Time will tell whether it is as good as the original.

  • Reliable kit

There is no problem always having a 'back up'! Over the years I have invested in posh can openers that seem to wear out very quickly indeed, or I have misplaced the ratchets and after 32 years in the military I know from experience these can openers are good and reliable
