Not an exact fit, it's thicker than the original
I have two different styles of old Papermate pens that use the Lubriglide refills, it fits one but not the other. It's too thick and if pushed in the pen cannot be operated with the button - maybe it's just a bad one out of a large batch?. It's cheap and getting hold of an original is not easy, it's works for one of my pens, so it's ok for me and if the size was as per the original then I'd have marked it as good quality, but I'll be looking for an alternative in the future. It does not suit the pen in the picture

Good value, could be a better fit though.
I bought these to replace the more expensive Papermate official refills (neary £5 each time) as I go through a lot of ink, with using the pens everyday at work. They were sold as being suitable for the PhD model of Papermate and they do fit the pen and work. The problem is the fitting is a little looser than I'd like and the ink occasionally looks like it's going to run out, as it goes thin and thready instead of rich and black consistently. My old Paper mate being used again

A bit long.
Looks like the original but is just a little longer so the pen point is left sticking out about 3mm when it should be fully retracted. The top end is soft enough to cut to fit. Writes nicely.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A really good working pen!
