About this product

Product Information

In the future, children will not engage in schoolyard brawls to settle their differences. They will use small robotic models. Each model has its own strength and weakness. Each is a reflection of its owner who is called a modeller. To really see who is the best, there are tournaments in each town and then a national one once a year. But like all things, there is evil afoot. A gang of thugs with models of their own are cheating other modellers out of their money and destroying their models.

In Power Quest, you can choose from six different models to help you stop the gang and win the national tournament. Each model has a name and list of special moves they can do. There are two modes to choose from, a story mode and a two-player mode.

In the story mode, you choose whatever model you want. As you fight more people, you win money and can go to the shop and to buy upgrades for the model's weapons, healing, power, and special attacks. You can also buy counter attacks and super parts to make your model unstoppable. Travel around the town to fight different people. If you win, they reveal a bit more of the story each time. Eventually you'll get to enter the national tournament and with a bit of luck you'll become the champ.

In the two-player mode, you and a friend can link up your Game Boys via a Game Link cable and battle it out to see who has the fastest reflexes. Or take on the computer and become the champion!

Only through increasing your model's powers and defeating the gang can you hope to even get a chance to enter the national tournament. But that may not be enough because it's going to take quick reflexes and a super powered model to get there. Can you win the national tournament and be the most powerful Modeller in the country?

  • Oldie but goldie

Its a street fighter style fighting game where you start with a basic robot and add more powerful parts. Only about 6 different robots and there is nos saving system which kills the game a bit. Also its very limited. But at the time pd its release it was ok

  • Great fighter for the GBC!

Definitely a game worth looking at if you are looking for a hidden gem to play on the Gameboy Color! The fighting is solid and the AI usually doesn't feel too cheap.
