A very nice model. Clean up the pickups that contact all six wheels and make sure that the tyres are nicely aligned on each wheel so that the engine does not rock from side to side in motion and it is a very smooth unit. Only down side for me is the motor in the one I bought is rather noisy and I do not seem to be able to make it any quieter.

The Airfix detail and quality body mouldings still hold up well when compared to the more expensive current model from Hornby. The chassis pick ups are a little flimsy and might need cleaning up and aligning on older models but give a good spread across modern pointwork. One driven wheel has a traction tyre fitted and permits a decent bit if traction.
