The game otherwise follows an identical format to previous Mega Man titles, which involves choosing a stage and battling a series of robot masters for their powerful weapons. Featured bosses include Toad Man, Bright Man, Pharaoh Man, Ring Man, Charge Man, Napalm Man, Stone Man, and Crystal Man.
