Easy fix for fan control - Job done in 5 minutes
This resistor pack was an exact fit for my wife's Golf plus 2008 and instantly cured the heater fan control issue. There appear to be a couple of slightly different variant. Check photos to ensure match. Easy access from footwell. Simple push and slide into place and reconnect cable.Way more straightforward than some other cars where whole control boards have to be exchanged and half the dashboard has to come apart. Smelly but it works
I bought this to see if it would fix my caddy's blower which only worked on number 4. It worked straight away so no apparent seizure of the fan, but...jeez the smell is awful. It smells like burning plastic or rubber more so when in number 1 or 2. Some people have even said fish in their reviews and I know where they are coming from. At least it solved the problem which is why I bought it as it was so cheap. Now I know the problem was the resistor I'll buy a decent one but this is worth it to see if that's your issue.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Toxic gasses released

Utter rubbish
Speeds 1 & 2 stopped working on my caddy, I had the electrics by a garage who confirmed that nothing was amiss other than the resistor had burned itself out, my caddy is 15 years old so not really surprising, after fitting this fan speed resistor it lasted about 5 minutes before burning itself out, I've since purchased a new from the dealers and it's working perfectly, yes the one from the dealers was considerably more expensive, but its obviously far better quality than the peice of junk I bought of eBay.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
