Retracting lead is a good feature
I have a variety of replacement lead pencils for specific tasks. I needed this in in particular due to the retractable lead which is a good idea if you need to place the pencil in a pocket. The lead retracts when you press the tip of the clip to place the pencil on your pocket. Great idea, so great in fact I bought two. One for me and one for my wife. I use it for making out when woodworking, both my wife and I have shared one before but I could never find it. Now she has her own! Fantastic tool - comfortable to hold and with easily replaceable leads. Great for sketching, or with blue 0.5mm leads roughing digital artwork for scanning (blue seems to be more easily 'erased' by art software). Feels solid and built to last.
