Well made and durable.
Was easy to install. The aluminum frame extended far enough through the wall of the RV to run screws into a frame made of 2"x2"'s. Butyl tape was added to seal the frame to the RV wall, and the hatch frame has a rubber gasket to seal the closed hatch. The hatch door is approximately 1" thick with an aluminum frame around the door itself. Construction of the door appears to be fiberglass on the outside face, vinyl on the inside face with both surfaces bonded to a foam beadboard core. I sanded the fiberglass face lightly with 100 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper and then spray-painted it to match the color of the RV. It was necessary to really clean the border area where the aluminum channel around the hatch had apparently been attached using silicone sealer, which kept the first coat of paint from adhering properly.
