    Brand New & a Bargain

I purchased this lens twice, the reason being that Hermes lost the first one. It came brand new & boxed, It works fine on my Sony Alpha a 7 Mk 11. It was a great price & delivered next day.

    It’s a good kit lens

If you didn’t buy this lens with your original Sony full frame then I probably think you made the right decision. Don’t go buying it later like I did thinking you missed out on something because you haven’t. Save up your pennies and buy a zoom with a greater range and a lower min aperture. In the meantime get a nifty 50mm and enjoy 😉

  • Sony FE 28-70mm

Great lens good for landscapes and portraits for the Sony FE lenses within this focal range being over £800 ponuds this lens is worth every penny. I have found the lens to be sharp and good in low light and lightweight on the camera. I would highly recommend this lens if you are looking for a native lens and not looking to pay crazy money for the expensive lenses. Don't believe to much about what you tube says the lens is versatile and good quality and the photos is produces are fantastic quality.

  • Great lens at brilliant price

I was wary about buying this lens, particularly for my A7 as the camera was relatively new to me. I was a long time Canon user and had got used to the Canon way so moving to Sony was done with some trepidation. The YouTube reviews of the lens were luke warm and I wasn't expecting very much, so it was a pleasant surprise when I first tested it out. The images were stunning. I always use my cat as the object of choice to test any new camera or lens because he's got some very fine hairs and I've got used to being able to compare the results. My last camera was a Canon 6d with some stonking prime lenses and whilst I was happy with the setup, I fancied a change to a smaller and mirrorless camera. The Sony A7 fit the bill and was relatively cheap. This lens was bought to test the camera before taking the plunge on some more highly rated lenses, though I tend to rent the top end lenses when I need them. As I said, I was really surprised to see the results. I'm a pixel peeper and always like to judge the images at 100% eventhough most people won't ever see them at like that. The sharpness and resolution was as good as anything I've seen with a zoom lens on my Canon, even the more expensive ones. The colour was great too and overall I couldn't have been happier. I've included one image as an example. Don't have any hesitation in buying one of these lenses as long as you're happy with the max stop size. I couldn't recommend it more highly. I always shoot in RAW, so the attached image is a jpg version of a tif exported from Lightroom.

  • Great lens at a great price.

I bought this lens for my Sony a 6000, it's auto focus is fast and gives great results. Although it's designed for the full frame sensor cameras it produces corner to corner sharpness on the 6000's APS-C sensor.

  • Great lens for the price.

Great lens for the price. Variable aperture is annoying and I'd prefer 24mm a the wide end. But considering the price difference between this and the 24-70 f4 you can't really good wrong if you are looking for a cheap, light, sharp walk about lens.

  • Cheap and good quality

For a full frame kit lens this lens is good value for the money. When stopped down you can get some very good images. The weak points are it's only 28mm on the wide end and it's a little soft when shot wide open.

  • Perfect!

This is perfect and the condition looks brand new! Only down side is there is no box, but I don’t really mind! Already been out to take photos with it and the image is amazing!

  • Excellent Value

Thi]s was bought to replace the same lens which had an accident. Excellent quality build, not too heavy and extremely versatile.

  • Typical kit lens

Good value for money, not too good but cheap and ok as lit lens, should be enough for some less experienced users
