Great redesign to an old classic
The newly redesigned Medalist is a great take on the original. The build quality is great, fit and finish is perfect and the spool spins true. I particularly like the palming rim on the spool, a feature the original did not have. I’m looking forward yo getting it out on the stream

Yes it’s made in China, but machined from bar stock to tolerances much tighter that the original Medalist with a far superior clicker drag system. This reel is the perfect match for the new generation of retro styled fiberglass rods.
