Stylish and sturdy Turntable and excellent value for the money
I was concerned about the quality of this Turntable as it appeared to be mid range for the price paid and it was a Christmas present for my husband. I have to say that he was delighted with this present. The raised turntable platter with the strobe dots are stylish and add to overall look of this turntable. The weighted arm and adjustable pitch are also a great feature. Setting up the turntable and connecting the rubber band to the spindle underneath the actual turntable platter was a bit tricky but the ribbon provided assists with this so don't discard. The rest of the set up is straightforward if you follow the instructions. Able to connect to own music system, although initially there was limited sound but you do have to remember to move the switch at the back of the turntable from "phono" to "line" in order to properly connect to your own system. PERFECT FOR THE MONEY
I am not an audiophile, but I know what I like (in my record collection). The cartridge, stylus and 45 adapter are well packaged in the polystyrene casing. The belt is on the turntable So fitted the platter on the unit and obviously slipped the belt over the drive. Fitted the cartridge. Fitted the weight. Found the floating balance. Set the dial on the weight to 0. Then turned the weight to 1. At this point Jarre's First Rendezvous is played. Just the very first note. This opening causes distortion on weighted turntables if not set correctly. I soon find 1.8 is perfect on the weight. I now proceed to play Floyd's Saucerful Of Secrets, RDS MONO version 2019. This is virgin vinyl and it should sound excellent... and it does. USE A SPIRIT LEVEL ON THE PLATTER and just place something under a foot, or feet of the unit to get perfect balance. The pitch control works but is not required even when I am using a heavier mat. I am using a Technics mat and not the one supplied in the box. So with its selling price £150 - 160, this is a great buy. Lovely sound. Easy to set up. 10 to 15 minutes and I haven't even opened the instructions. Only the wrapper to get the Phono cable out. THE VERY FIRST THING TO DO IS LOCATE THE PHONO/LINE-IN SWITCH AND MAKE SURE IT IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION FOR YOUR CHOICE OF INPUT. My amp has a Phono position, so no alterations required.

Good Value Turntable
Before buying this I had looked at a few options, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This deck was a good option. I had read a few reviews which said that the Pitch Shifter was useless, I have not found this to be the case. Everything on the turntable operates exactly as it is supposed to. For my money, this is incredibly good value for money and offers most bang for your buck, not least because it is the only turntable in this £100-£150 price range which has a counterbalance weight on the arm. All in all, I am very impressed with this product

Great Budget Turntable
After 30 years of lifeless Music I am going back to Vinyl. But on a budget, I have been well pleased with the Music quality of this turntable. I arrived in it's original box and is obviously brand new. For those out there who have never owned a turntable, it is easy to set up and use. If you want to dabble with vinyl but don't want to spend much I can recommend this Turntable. Currys are selling the same turntable but branded as Techniques at £239.
