The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt CD Receiver is a 4 channel digital amplifier that can deliver 60 watts per channel in a two channel system, or 30 watts per channel in a 4 channel setup, and includes a subwoofer preamp output. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt Receiver can allow a user to stream wireless playlists from an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch and the USB port can accept other digital devices as well. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt CD Receiver also comes with a Marantz Remote Control App for Apple or Android devices which can turn a smartphone into a wireless remote control. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt Receiver has built-in vTuner service that can facilitate listening to free dab internet radio stations. This amp also has an AM/FM radio tuner, and a CD player. The built-in CD player is compatible with redbook (normal commercial) CDs, CD-R, and CD-RW media so a user can play any CD’s they have burned. The CD player is also compatible with discs that contain MP3 files and WMA tracks. The USB port can allow the playback of audio on a P, Laptop, or a USB thumb drive. The USB port compatibility includes WAV, Mpeg4 AAc, FLAC, and ALAC files. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt Receiver includes the AirPlay function that plays audio wirelessly from the iTunes library of an Apple device. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt Receiver can be connected to a home network through the Ethernet port of through WiFi. The vTuner system can be compatible with Pandora, Spotify, and Sirius XM Internet Radio subscription music services and has 100 internet radio presets. The amplifier section can be configured to provide 60 watts to 2 speakers, or 30 watts to each of 4 speakers. When The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt hi-fi Receiver is connected to 4 speakers, it can be set up so that the system is running two sets of speakers in different rooms with one or both pairs operating simultaneously. The pairs of speakers can be selected and switched using the wireless Marantz Remote smartphone app. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt HIFI Receiver can support Windows 8, Windows RT, iOS smartphones, laptops, and iPads, and Android smartphones and tablets. The Marantz M-CR610 7.1 Channel 120 Watt Receiver is DLNA 1.5 certified so that the amp can be connected to a PC or an NAS drive on a home network. The M-CR610 has a 3 line OLED (organic LED) display with a wide angle view for easy operation and control. Great sound and features
This little receiver has gobs of power and very clean and clear sound with good dynamic range. The D/A converter is of high quality. Overall, this sounds better than my older, highly regarded, Technics integrated amp with about the same power rating. It is very compact and fits on a bookshelf. All the controls work well and are pretty logical, and the owner's manual is a relatively readable translation, which isn't exactly common nowadays. Connecting to the home network was simple, it pretty much did that by itself and guides you through the process with display prompts. I can't report on the remote app for tablets/phones because I haven't tried it - the receiver's remote control has most everything I need. The Airplay connection is simple and even it sounds good. Although there may not be enough connections for everyone, the 2 analog inputs and the selection of digital I/Os are plenty for my setup. My only complaint so far is that the top is made of very glossy plastic which appears to scratch easily. Unfortunately, the new version of this (M-CR620) costs significantly more and the only added feature appears to be Bluetooth, which isn't important to me, but might be a deciding factor for others. If you are in the market for this kind of connected, compact CD receiver, I recommend getting one while they are available.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
