Great cost / performance tradeoff
It is slightly longer to setup than some of the more higher priced options (Gitzo), since the leg locking mechanism is manual and not spring loaded. But that's well worth the price difference. Happy with my purchase
I was looking for a lightweight but stable and well built tripod for a long campervan trip around Europe and chose the Mefoto after a fair amount of research. I was expecting it to be a little lighter than it is but it looks so well built and designed that I am really happy with it. The monopod that can be detached from the tripod works really well, the tripod goes higher than the super lightweight travel models. Great Lightweight Tripod
Very impressed with the size and portability.I feel I am sacrificing very little in way of stability or durability. The photo head it comes with is alright; I'll probably use it as a backup alternative. I'll mainly be using this with an MVH500AH head and a panasonic GH4. I had been worried about the head being to bulky for this travel tripod, but because of the GH4's light weight, I have not had any trouble with stability. So smooth.
