  • Go for own brand lens or sigma

Bought one used very good condition BUT make sure you get a later model with the updated firmware otherwise its USELESS .. I tried it on a Canon 7D MK1 - 1D MK11 And 1DS MK11 so i know it wasnt my camera . However upto 300mm it was very sharp after that rubbish the G2 Version is supposed to be on par with the Sigma 150-600mm sports but TAMRON Sorry you're put off for good

  • Better that 150-500 Sigma - Stiff rotation

Getting much better results, even in lower light than Sigma equivalent that I had Get really sharp results after a little fine tuning, and especially with tripod... Only gripe is stiff zoom rotation action... but you get used to it... definitely sharper at F8-F11 compared to F5.6... Oh, and holding it with Tripod handle is a pain, it's just too short for enough fingers so you feel it might slip out Mine doesn't have firmware for auto-panning OIS, but have not needed it, I would used my Canon 70-200 for that anyway...

I have used this lens for a while now and love it, really good results for wildlife photography giving good reach as well, well worth the money.

  • Stunning Lens.

I didn't expect the images to so sharp. A little noisy with the motor in auto but a fab piece of kit. Expect dead arms.after using this manually. Have bought a cracking tripod and its lovely on there

  • TAMRON 150-600 Lens

Very good quality lens and I am happy with my purchase. The only downside is the weight - just under 2kg and it needed a Lens case for added protection
