Simply insert a vortex brush in the path of the flowing water. This will allow the heavy waste to drop to the bottom of the chamber and then all the waste that does not settle is forced to pass through the brushes thus allowing it to be caught.
The vortex brush appeared to be a good addition to my filter, slowing the spin whilst extracting the particles.
However, as the brush collects particles it actually starts floating and is brushed upwards by the water flow. The flow into the next chamber is then restricted which caused the vortex to overflow.
I'm sure if there's was more room at the top of the vortex this wouldn't happen, but the brush will need constant cleaning which is difficult and time consuming.
