A first class metal cutting bandsaw
For years i have been useing my old power hacksaw for cutting up steel & decided to invest in a Axminster model engineers swivel head bandsaw, a few days later, 3 box's arrived, i set to & opened up each box in turn, after about an hour i had a very nice looking bandsaw up & running ready to cut metal, the first piece of steel i needed to cut was 25mm x 25mm solid EN8 bar, i checked the blade for square against the fixed jaw of vice & the pointer was on the zero, placed piece of bar in vice & tightened up, switched the saw on, set the drop rate, wow, in no time at all i had 2 pieces of bar, just adding a drop or two of cutting fluid, since then i have now cut over 180 feet of steel in about 1/3 of the time of the power hacksaw, this machine is deffinatley aquality & well made saw, with every cut square on both vertical & horizintel faces. This is a 5 star, first class, metal cutting bandsaw at a very fair price. I would deffinatley reccomend this bandsaw to any one looking one, keith N IVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Small workshop
Bought this saw after a lot of research into various models. I originally had my mind made up on a femi 782xl with them having such great reviews for the price. Only thing that swayed me was this saw had a better capacity for cutting more extreame angles. Secondly the femi is from italy so i figured getting replacment parts could become an issue. Saw arrived on time, didnt take too long to set up and was up and cutting almost instantly. Ive tried some test cuts on various stock between 25 x 25 x 2mm box section upto 40mm solid steel bright bar. I would recommend using a drop of oil when cutting, i intend to fit a drip feed oiler to prologue the life of the blade and reduce load on the guide bearings. Unfortunatly the saw did arrive with a damaged part but after contacting axminster they shipped the replacment part free of change and next day delivery. So this put my concerns of purchasing spare parts at a later date to ease. Overall very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as a dedicated small workshop saw. Pay a little extra for a far superior saw in my opinion, as far as entry level metal bandsaws go.
