John Alcorn: Evolution by Design is a celebration of the life and work of legendary American artist, designer and illustrator John Alcorn (1935-92). Alcorn worked for Esquire, CBS and the celebrated Push Pin Studios, but later worked exclusively as a freelancer. In 1962 Alcorn designed and illustrated Books!, selected as one of the best 50 books of the year by the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Besides illustrations, Alcorn designed book jackets, film posters, children's books and promotional materials for the likes of Pepsi, Simon & Schuster and Federico Fellini.
