Great book...for the East Coast only.

Vast knowledge poured into a readable book
The key words in the book title that make it stand out from all the others are "on Foot." Kantner seems to have great empathy for those of us who aren't lucky enough to fish from a skiff. He increases your odds when fishing from shore or wading out. I especially like that he dedicates a chapter to the canal system -- an angler's gold mine if you know the how, when and where of fishing. I'm strictly a fly angler. Most information is general purpose in nature, appealing to all forms of fishing, but he does give enough attention to fly fishing to make me happy. The copy I bought was advertised as gently used, and, sure enough, it arrived in great shape. I was impressed. This is a reference book. There's too much knowledge in those pages for me to remember it all, so I'll consult it from time to time. I live up North, so, when I travel to South Florida, it's to fish.
