  • Not for Beginners

Requires the reader to have an initial grasp of the language, but the glossary at the end of each chapter helps fill in the less obvious words/phrases. wouldn't say that it is 'compelling', but the language is presented in a manner that allows phrasings to be learnt in part due to the context. Chapters are short (200 words, ish) making it easy to pick upand put down regularly when time allows. Overall a very useful book for the amateur looking to improve their skills, I will be looking into other books in the series.

  • Perfect to reinforce class learning

Great way to learn a language - short interesting chapters make you want to keep reading, and you learn constantly. Children learn by reading the same nursery book over and over - I've done the same with several languages now, and it works brilliantly. Can highly recommend this whole series of books, especially as they're small enough to pop in a pocket so I can read a chapter whenever I have a coffee!
