The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because there isn't enough juicy gossip about all the other rock stars they've associated with to satisfy my tastes. The Wilson sisters are nice girls, and nice girls don't write books to settle old scores. That being said, they do provide just enough information about a few people to make you realise that they could have said much, much more on the subject...but then less can sometimes be more and these girls are dignified in their approach to people who have wronged them. I discovered Heart in the 80's and wanted to read a lot more about that chapter of their careers than they were prepared to provide...indeed they seem genuinely embarrassed by the whole decade and awkwardly refer to it in a way that made me feel that they couldn't wait to get off the subject and move into the 90's and beyond. Okay, so the pink satin jacket with enormous shoulder pads and diamante trim, ginormous backcombed hair, guitar solos performed whilst writhing around on the stage floor, etc were probably a tad OTT but that's what the 80's was all about and I thought it a shame for them to be so dismissive of that decade. What I did really enjoy about this book was the relationship between these two excellent musicians and the stories of a family dynamic that is truely heart warming. Heart is what they're called, and that's just what these girls are...all heart.Read full review
