His story continues through the early years of colour film, the advent of TV and what that did to "movie", the relaxation of censorship in the 60s and 70s, the coming of the blockbuster and the apotheosis of the serial, and takes us into the new millenium, with its multiplicity of screens, large and (increasingly) small.
