Great photography and inspirational viewing

Great book but too small
This is probably the best collection of Adams incredible work in one volume. The book covers the full range of his photographic scope and they are collected here for the fan of Adams and for those wanting to see his legendary photography of the USA. My gripe with this book is just one aspect but it (for me anyways) turns the experience from one of enjoyment to frustration. The photographs in the book are just too small. Bearing in mind that so much of Adams work is landscape and scenic, the photographs are edited to provide an attractive border BUT this means that in some cases the white border occupies 25-33% of the page. Compared to many photographic gallery books, this isn't a large coffee table book but the images deserve to take centre stage and while they stand out brilliantly, they are just too small to enjoy fully.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
