  • Lightweight, peat free, well worth trying

Makes a very nice compost, light to handle unlit soaked and easy to store until used. Peat free so environmentally better, very important for me. Delivered in very good time during Covid-19 period, another big plus. I have yet to grow anything for a sustained period in it and the surface of the compost does dry more quickly than other peat free products I have tried or I would have given it 5 stars

  • A cheap, easy and efficient product for adding to your potting medium.

Easy to use and once hydrated I mix it with peat free compost, topsoil and horse manure to prepare beds and tubs for the season. It helps to retain much needed moisture and also reduces need for so much additional watering in drier times. Tubs and pots tend to dry out more quickly in hot weather and the addition of coir does seems to maintain a level of damp for the plants and summer bulbs. Saving on time watering with precious water is also a plus.

  • Convenient Coir

These bricks are so convenient. In my small garden shed it is good to have something that can be stacked tidily instead of having yet another plastic sack to lug about and trip over. The stuff is good quality and it's easy to prise off just as much as I need at a time.

  • Perfect lockdown gardening supplies

Great way to get peat free compost during a lockdown - light and easy to convert. Just be aware this is great for seedlings but for established plants you would need to add some nutrients.

  • Convenient and easy to use

This is by far the best compressed compost that I've tried. It absorbs water easily, it's got a consistent, fine texture, and the plants are doing really well on it. A brick makes a decent-sized bag of compost. I don't have any outdoor storage, so a clean, compact source of dry compost beats trying to keep a big bag of damp compost in the house when I only need to fill a few pots for herbs and houseplants.

  • Eco friendly excellent growing medium.

I was a bit unsure about buying this product but considering the current situation (lockdown) I went ahead.and bought some, When it arrived I was not filled with enthusiasm they seemed so small and would anything grow in it. I put them in a very large container filled halfway with water and in under a hour they had soaked up all the water and nearly filled the container, Not only that some of the blocks had not hydrated so I had to empty part of the compost and refill with water they produced far more than I expected. I had taken some of the wet compost out and left in a large tub I had just bought some plants very cheaply as they had dried out and didn't look as though they would survive so I just put them into the tub of wet compost and left not holding out much hope. When I went back a few days later not only had every plant survived but they were positively thriving since then I put all my new plants in the compost before planting out. I highly recommend this product it is peat free, compact so no hauling large bags of compost and is an excellent growing medium esp for young plants seedlings.
