I love this turntable
While I am a hopeless vinyl addict, I don't consider myself an "audiophile" because I'm not an expert or know-it-all on vinyl listening. I love listening to my records but don't find it necessary to spend thousands of dollars on equipment to get quality sound. However, at around $200 I very skeptical about the performance of this turntable. But after much research I decided to take a chance, and I must say it far exceeded my expectations. Setup is beyond easy, design is classic and clean, and the operation is smooth and quiet. It has some nice features like auto-stop, tonearm lever and a nice Audio Technica stylus that can be upgraded for even better sound. Most importantly, my records sound great on it. It passed the "wish you were here" sound test with flying colors. This looks and feels like a much more expensive turntable. At this price I think it would be very hard to find a better product. Of course, Fluance is new to the turntable game, so only time will tell how it performs in the long run. But right now, I am very impressed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic set up for a casual vinyl fan
After researching a great number of turntables, and setting a reasonable budget, I decided to go with this Fluance player. It came carefully packaged, with clear instructions on how to assemble and set up the tone arm and platter. This table comes equipped with a phono preamp, in case you are connecting it to a powered speaker or an amp/receiver that does not have an onboard preamp. Mine does, so I do not use it. I used the included RCA cables with grounding wire, but have already purchased a higher quality connecting cable with braided copper to eliminate any slight electrical interference. Performancewise, I love this thing! It sounds fantastic, and the cartridge/diamond stylus really do a nice job of reproducing all the subtle nuance of my old record collection. I clean the stylus after each record with the Magic Eraser trick (look it up), and it always sounds its best. I can't speak to its longevity, since I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far I am very impressed. It may not have all the bells and whistles that some, way more expensive, models boast, but this record player does well at exactly what it needs to do: play my old Joe Jackson records.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Value, Good Sound, Needs accessories to be better.
The turntable is inexpensive by any measure. Overall it's a good value but it has a problem, there's a hum that seems hard to remove. It comes with a cable that includes a ground wire but in my case, we are using it with a portable speaker and there is no place to connect the grounding wire. So we are stuck with a hum. The tone arm is adjustable, that's a good thing and the adjustment is course but workable. the cartridge that comes with the turntable is inexpensive and it works but by spending an additional $50 you can make a big improvement. In addition, the platter comes with a felt mat. Go on ebay and look for the silicon rubber mat that is branded "Fluance" and for $12 get another refinement to improve the sound. Overall, it's a good product and probably good enough for most people but if you are a critical listener there probably aren't any upgrades that will satisfy you, only a TT at the next price level will do that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vintage Cart meets modern tt.
Awesome turntable for the price. The AT91 cartridge that comes with the TT sounds decent but you might want to replace it with a better cart. I replaced it with a Shure V15 type III and original supertrack plus stylus and it brought the TT to life it sounds amazing.
