  • Small but powerful, good for budget

great bang for the buck. Easy to use, Zeek has great tutorials and videos to help with getting ML and a rig set up for it. One con is no image stabilization. You can get lenses that provide it, or build a rig to combat it, but there is none built in as part of the camera. There isn't too much support for this camera specifically online, but as it operates pretty much the same as the standard EOS M, watching videos and finding accessories goes pretty much the same. Download cinestyle immediately. But overall a really good value for the price - i love carrying this camera around with me anywhere I go as its small form factor makes it great for on-the-go shooting.

  • I've owned the original M, now own 2 M2

The M2 does everything the M does but quicker and faster. The picture to picture time is greatly increase due to the non black out screen between pictures. The focusing is better with more points. Does still hunt in low light. But the picture quality and IQ is great. I had a choice of purchasing a M3 or a M2, between my family and I on our visit to Japan, we purchased four M2. Just did everything we wanted at a better price point. Battery life is not long but with the low cost of batteries, it becomes a non issue (unless you do movies).

  • Compact with full-size quality.

I have 2 EOS-M1's & 1 EOS-M2. They're very well built & the M lenses are a little better than comparable EF-S lenses. I bought the 1st EOS-M with 22mm & EF-S adapter several years ago with the idea that it would be a pocket camera & backup body. I found the 22mm limiting & got the 11-22 & 18-55 M lenses. I rarely use the adapter because I prefer the small lenses. I also like the little flash they make for these, but it doesn't work with other Canon models. I got a 2nd M1 converted to 720nm IR. Carrying 2 of them with lenses is like carrying 1 regular size camera. I recently got a 3rd one & converted it to 590nm IR. I don’t carry the 720 anymore because I can use a 720 filter on the 590nm camera. A viewfinder would go black with a 720 filter, but the live-view screen is unaffected. EOS-M’s have great live-view focusing for IR. I also full-frame Nikon & Canon systems, but the EOS-M is highly recommended for traveling light or when you need multiple camera bodies.

  • Inexpensive 1080P

This is a great little camera...size of a point and click with the ability of interchangeable lenses. The m2, unfortunately, does not take advantage of magic lantern yet, but there is hope. It's a great overall camera as it is, though.

  • Works great

I am currently using the Fujian $20 lens (c mount adapter) and my Nikon $99 50mm 1.8d with (Nikon f adapter) and this is amazing!!! So much fun making high quality videos now. The pictures come ok but this my film hobby use mainly.

  • Best Camera Ever

I recently purchased the canon eos m from Japan. I was a bit skeptical at first since it is out of the country, but I took a risk and bought it. Of course I purchased it after a full on review. I'd have to say, the camera came in pretty fast for being in Japan! Every thing is in mint condition! I got some dope shots and videos!

  • Compact, flexible, with great optics.

This camera allows me to use the many "Heritage" lenses I own, such as Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Konica.

  • Canon M2 solves Autofocus issues with EF GH4

Bought a Lumix GH4 because of 4K video ability, but could not AF IS with my canon lenses, so I bought this to use the Canon Lenses when I need AF I love the simplicity of this camera and all my Canon lenses focus as designed with it (As I expected). Half the price of a single cheap lens with all the Canon Quality. What A Deal! Thinking of getting a Nikon 1 for the same reason. Mirrorless is wonderful.

  • Very nice camera for the money

Although listed as having problems, it seems easy enough to work around. There was no manual for it so I had to try to find one online.
