Bloody Incredible for the money
I've owned several Makita trimmers over the years as a jobbing chippie, thought i was seeing things when i saw this (coughs) very similar-looking trimmer to you know who. When it came time to replace the bearings on my Makita (again) and the time required to do it i took a chance and bought this instead. This trimmer is absolutely superb, i have one set up for hinging doors, one set up with a roundover bearing cutter and one for general trimming all three of which still cost less than one makita trimmer. Of the three, two of them are used daily and have done for the past few months with zero problems. What else can i say other than buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Badly machined copy of makita
Very badly Machined parts on plunge base but managed to rectify and improve with a little work with a multi tool and addition of some washers, guide bush on main body completely useless and does not rotate central so replaced it with a ball bearing bush from an old router bit, motor body seems OK but yet to find out if the motor will last the test of time. added washers to all plastic screw fixings to prolong life of the parts. Also had to stick down the rubber grip on the tool as this was also badly done. All in all I couldn't recommend this tool for anyone who isn't prepared or skilled enough to upgrade it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good buy for under 100 quid.
Quality tool. So far didn't let me down as i had same trimmer before and I've sold it to my colleague and hi still uses it. Now I've got another one for myself. Going to use it daily on real oak doors and frames. We'll see how long it will last. Also my opinion its a really good copy of the Makita trimmer. I think its even made at the same factory using same parts. Just the not branded name on it slashes the price more than twice. And you can use all the attachments with new makita trimmer. Only one down bit is the length of the cable. its 1.5 mtr so had to change to 3 mtr on a first day. I would definitely recommend to buy this trimmer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
