When Nolan Hayes' (Paul Walker) wife Abigail (Genesis Rodriguez) goes into labor five weeks early, the prospective parents race to a New Orleans hospital hoping for the best. Meanwhile, Hurricane Katrina strikes, plunging the hospital into darkness as the staff races to evacuate the patients.
