FIVE STARS! I have had this phone for a month now. CAMERA: It has a very fun feature with taking photos. For those looking at the “back side,” the EPD (electronic paper display) will greet them with several random screens from eyes that wink, old fashioned cameras and a couple of “smile” prompts in different fonts. SECONDARY SCREEN: I easily get 1.5 - 3 days out of my battery depending on use. From the color screen you can do a swipe gesture to have your home screen (or current application) mirrored to the EPD and do everything as usual from there. This is a huge advantage in battery consumption just like a kindle. The EPD is visible inside and out. In fact it’s even better outdoors! No glare and no needing to shelter it just to barely see it. From the EPD you can do everything you can from the color screen- check emails, text, watch videos or whatever. Calls are about the only thing the color side is better for simply because that’s the side the ear speaker is on. GHOSTING: It does on occasion ghost but it’s almost like the phone can tell when this is present because it will automatically refresh the screen. The EPD is not as quick to respond as the color screen but it is by no means slow, it just has to finish refreshing before it can respond to your next prompt. OS: The phone came with Android Kit Kat 4.4 and quickly prompted me to upgrade. I am currently on Lolipop 5.0. YOTA APPS. YotaHub allows you to customize the EPD. With the upgrade the EPD can be personalized to display up to 5 different screens. Covers is the personalization piece and Panels is the stats & info piece. Once set up- you can toggle between these screens at any time. You can opt to have a clock, various news/sports feeds, text, favorite phone contacts, weather stats and more. Yota Apps are several- notes, fitness tracking, sports, RSS feeds, reading and language conversion. The phone also has a built in FM Radio which allows you to record the live radio feed if desired (included headphones are the FM antenna). CASES: With two screens- cases can be interesting. There are some nicely contoured aluminum cases that come in several colors but from what I could tell it didn’t look like they had a lip on them to keep the screens from actually touching the table/surface you have set it on. It looked like these only protected the edge? I opted to go with a silicone case that has a slight lip on the front screen and more coverage on the EPD. As far as screen protectors I have one on the color screen and nothing on the EPD. I didn’t see any vendors that offered protection for the rear screen and since my phone is typically “face down” I was mainly concerned about a cover for the front side. STORAGE & SPEED: The phone comes with 32GB built in and does not accommodate an SD Card. The processor is a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. It runs fast enough in my opinion. I am not gaming on it or using it for frequent video viewing but I have had no issues. IMPROVEMENTS?: The only thing I can say that I would like to see different is YotaMirror as an app. This phone is not officially released in the USA yet. As a result it only works with certain Mobile Network providers so please verify that you can even use it before buying. The phone needs a SIM card to work. As an international model- it doesn’t yet utilize USA 4G LTE frequency. It does use 3G. You can find specs about which frequencies it supports and doesn’t but I have not noticed any difference in coverage! Since this phone is produced in Russia it comes with a phone charger that is useless. However, if you have a laptop or computer, you can charge it with the provided micro USB cable and the phone also utilizes wireless charging for those interested. The phone has a built in energy manager. Instead of that annoying low battery sound every 15 min. on most phones, Yota makes one low battery sound. After that, Yota has a red bar at the top and bottom to notify you that you’re running low on power. Once YotaEnergy is on the phone shuts down all processes except for calls in an effort to buy you more time. You can of course go in and customize these setting but this is the default. CONCLUSION: I hope to see this phone officially released in the USA soon. If this happens, I am confident that the USA 4G LTE will be supported. To see this phone in action- visit Yota’s website (the first/top video doesn’t really feature the phone?), Youtube or other phone reviewing sites. I think you will be impressed.Read full review

Completely shocked by this phone. The build quality is excellent and the interface, I'm not perfect, is really fluid and well-designed. The amount of R&D and software build that went into this is impressive, and they executed it really well. I am a long time iPhone user, and my latest phone was a 6S plus, and this is now my daily go-to phone.
