The Mad Max Sony Video Game is designed to be played on the PlayStation 4 platform. While influenced by the film franchise, Mad Max is not directly based on any one of the four movies. The game features an original story set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland with open world gameplay. As the story unfolds, Max loses his Interceptor car to marauders and is left for dead. To survive, players will need to work with a skilled mechanic called Chumbucket to build what he dubs the Magnum Opus. Over the course of the game, the Magnum Opus' chassis, engine, armour and weapons can be upgraded. There are bosses in each region as well, and as players complete activities, they lower the threat level of each area. Gamers can also find parts for the Magnum Opus scattered throughout the wasteland, and a special unmapped area contains rare items for the vehicle, but the landscape is fraught with sandstorms and contains no food or water.Product Identifiers

Fantastic open-world apocalypse ride!
I'm a huge fan of the films and love the world of Mad Max. Games based on films usually lack the good game engines and interface of independent creations but Mad Max changes my perspective completely. Massive open terrain with good amounts of variation. Random enemies happening upon you whilst you're running missions or looking for scrap to buy upgrades for your ride. Epic storms that threaten your life and actually give you a surge of adrenaline. The story is not complex but neither is the world it is in and that is a good thing. A game should be fun and a complex plot muddies the waters somewhat. So far I am thoroughly engaged and excited to play more. I would highly recommend getting a copy as this game is great! Bring on the apocalypse!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Poor Man's Fallout
Made as part of the film franchise and it shows. Impressive graphics but wasted on a tedious story that holds your hand all the way - cumbersome game play and lots of button bashing make up this dreary sub Fallout rip off. The open world is incredibly dull with mostly desert to drive through and the set pieces few and far between. I played for an hour or so and found it very repetitive and hard on the thumbs! Mad max its ok but nothing like any of the movies
Games ok graphics some what ok but its likenthe game was made too quik and released. You get stuck behind objects you cannot see and the aiming can get fustrating not to mention accidentle fire. Its ok foe a past time but many better games to spend your money on. Missions can take for ever some r good some r jus lame. Cars are ok with boosts but like i sed npt like the movies but they do have some details.
