Excellent Product
Not only has this upgrade kit helped me achieve a consistent grind size, improving the taste of my coffee, it has also enabled me to grind more efficiently; I'm not sure if the old wobble was wasting energy, but it now takes half the time to grind my coffee. Blue Horse has two videos on their website that are very helpful for installing the upgrade and properly aligning the burrs (chances are your burrs are not aligned) - I recommend watching these before installation. Was it all worth it?
The Hario Skerton Upgrade kit is one of those things that makes you wonder why the manufacturer didn't fit it in the first place. Adding this device has produced a nice consistent grind of coffee of any size. The only thing to mention and the instructions gloss over it quickly. It's very easy to put back together with the grinder mechanism off centre. It then takes a bit of patience and the youtube video to get it back on track. It took me a good 30 minutes of readjustment. Hario Skerton Upgrade - Consistent grind for a better brew
