  • Chamber's is a hoot!

WHY IS MY REVIEW NOT POSTED?. This is a fun dictionary. Highly recommended. It even has Diadochi and Tutenag Webster's Third New International does not have these words. I like their definition for Mullet. I'll leave that for you to look up when you acquire one. I am sure you'll agree. Oh, and the dustjacket. It is made from strong paper and is the coolest color orange with iridescent-like letters. The covers are buckram bound and the endpapers are orange and match the book. I think an added addition of illustrating the endpapers would have been nice, but certainly no big deal. . btw, I don't know what some mean by "missing words". I look them up and they're there, so... It has a ribbon marker. A feature also on the Collin's dictionary and which I notice in British dictionaries. A feature one expects more in Bibles than dictionaries, but I like it. American dictionaries tend not to have them, but do have thumb indices which would also be a nice added touch to the Chambers. I have it and Collins and they are a very nice set to have for any British or American word buff, scrabble player, or all-around logophile The Chamber's is 1860 pages + 32 + xxiv and weighs in at 5 pound 3 ounces. If you want to engage in some monomachia logodaedaly, then this is a good one to have at the ready.
