purchased the tz60 as a re-furbished camera to replace the tz70 that I,d had for almost a year and had to return as there were issues. This is definitely a better camera than the tz70. It feels a lot better made, feels slightly heavier and more robust. The picture quality is the same as are nearly all the features, apart from the tz60 having g.p.s..(which I ,ve yet to use). I sold my d.s.l.r. to buy the tz70 and was beginning to regret it, but having now got the tz60 those regrets are gone. Yes. the camera has a lot of features, some of which I,ll never use, but for the picture quality alone, especially with a close focus in macro of just 3c.m. its a cracker of a camera for the money. I,ve had Panasonic cameras in the past and been well-pleased with both camers and after care/customer support. (the 2 photos are the opposite ends of the lens, the RED KITE at 68times zoom, from about 250/350 metres away and the DAMSEL FLY on macro about 40mm away)Read full review

I've bought this used, with only cosmetic signs of wear and tear. However, after a couple of uses, the lens has been stuck in the open position a few times, and the camera refuses to operate. Apparently, it's a known problem. You have to tap on it while turning the camera on and off to get it to "catch" again, and close the lens properly and the camera works fine again. I've checked with the manufacturer and with its user forums - no resolution to multiple complaints.

As a Building Surveyor I use a camera in work almost every day and have tried many different ones over the years. As far as image quality and zoom capability are concerned, this camera is superb. The zoom is outstanding. The ability to connect to my iphone is indispensable, I can put the camera on an extending pole and put it into loft spaces or up to roof level etc while seeing what the camera sees on my phone screen. Taking photos or videos, zooming in and out, all done from the phone whilst keeping my feet on the ground. I can transfer photos wirelessly from the camera to my phone to send instantly by email. In bright sunlight, the small viewfinder is very handy. Negative points: it’s quite delicate and won’t take any knocking about. For one-handed operation the flash is in the wrong place and easily covered by your finger. The battery door has for some reason snapped off on 2 previous ones. I have bought this one strictly for personal use and it won’t be used for work. I’m sure it will last for many years.Read full review

I have owned a Lumix TZ 60 for just over a year now - it replaced a digital SLR that I was finding increasingly inconvenient to lug around. The TZ60 has all the features I require - with a very wide angle 30x optical zoom lens and good definition. I chose it over its competitors because as well as the usual rear viewing screen it also has an eye level digital viewer - an essential in bright sunlight. It has proved to be an excellent travelling companion being reasonably compact and is not heavy. It slips into my shirt breast pocket easily and has never let me down. What more could one want.

Had this camera for a few weeks now , has lots of different scene modes which are easy to access, but I have it on auto mode most of the time as it does everything for you . You can easily transfer your pictures via wifi using the Panasonic app or by USB to PC. I have a 32 gig memory card in mine allowing for an excessive amount of snapping without running out of space. And finally it does take some amazing snaps .
