Brought this so I could diagnose lice and mites on hair on my horse and after seeing them through the Vets microscope of real top quality I was surprised how good this bit of kit is... worth playing around with it to get the best from it ..practice makes perfect.... remember it ain't top quality but will do the job and you will be ok.. used it on windows 7 and windows 10 easy set up... yep recommend

The trouble with this microscope is that the focus control is far too stiff making it impossible to focus . No use as a microscope but ok as a magnifying glass. I doubt the magnification as I couldn't see anything that I couldn't see with an ordinary magnifying glass.

the camera part works well but the stand is to flimsy to be of much use, the focus ratchet is rough in operation and the plastic stand flexes so it is difficult to get a focus. if the camera is used without the stand, especially if connected to a tablet, it becomes a useful tool in the field. I will be using it in this setup for video and stills of insects.

Bought this with low expectations as the price was so low but, wow, pleasantly surprised! Pic quality is great, set up OK if you know what you're doing and quality is decent (except the stand). Unfortunately, i opted for the circular plastic base, on reflection I should have bought the large square base with direct 'top-down' option. Overall you simply cannot complain for £13. Pics are of an old sixpence.
