Thank you for dewalt
Dewalt did made lot of people really happy with the adapter, and also helped us to save money on tools, because we only need to buy the new slide in lithium ion batteries from now. Compare about the batteries price on the market, dewalt has the most reliable lithium ion batteries. we have 12 of 5 years old batteries and all still working without any problem. Only one of them has now a faulty battery chargeing indicator but the battery itself is still working excellent! And thanks for the battery adapter we can use again our old tools! I know the battery adapters from China not that really good quality like the others but the sellers been allways responsible for the faulty items, so i can just recomend the dewalt lithium ion adapters for everyone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok but clearly not genuine
This product is definitely a knockoff as soon as you pick it up the look and feel tells you it's not a genuine dewalt tool. It works well in all of my tools except my finishing nailer in that till it powers on but instantly turns off when you try and fire a nail. Because if the cost and the fact I still have some good old settle batteries to use in my nail gun I'm ok with it not working in that. It allows me to use my circular saw, reciprocating saw and jig saw all with the new xr batteries which has added several years to the life of my tools and that's great! It does feel a bit cheap and it's really hard to unclip the adaptor from the tool so hopefully it lasts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Non genuine
My objection is that this is sold as genuine dewalt. It isn't. However...so far it seems to work. I have no idea what electronics are in this to protect the Li-ion batteries, nor what should be in it. I'm taking care not to run the batteries down too far using this adapter. this unit worked for 15 minutes and died
broke after 15 minutes of use. I tried two other batteries but still didn't work. How do I get a replacement as the concept is a good one. the 18 volt tools are lighter with the 20 volt batteries.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Avoid this one
Thought this would be a good idea instead of changing some of my power tools I don't use that much. Used this for the first time less than two minutes later it started smoking. I am unsure if this is a genuine dewalt product. I would not recommend I would try a replacement product but haven got much faith in it as it failed so quickly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
