Great buttons, don't use switches!
GENERAL:
These buttons were great for building a beatmania ASC.
They are easily disassembled, which is good for beatmania IIDX controllers because switches can tend to break if used too heavily.
The QMRON switches are heavy, so I recommend replacing them with OMRON D2MV-series switches.
I also recommend replacing the springs with Sanwa 60/100g springs, though it's not as necessary as replacing the QMRON switches.
THE PRODUCT:
In the package, you get the nine buttons and you get a 1 pack of replacement pieces. This includes: 1 micro-switch, 2 white LEDs, 1 blue LED.
THE SWITCHES:
In personal preference, I would recommend that you do not use the switches that come installed with these buttons. QMRON switches are very heavy and nearly unusable for IIDX.
If you're buying these with the intentions of buying OMRON D2MV microswitches later, you should open up the micro-switch and lighten up the spring. Slightly pull on the spring that holds the button (Don't do this too much, or the spring will lose its' power). This will make the pressure required lighter.
THE SPRINGS:
The springs on the buttons are fine for heavy players. However, I do recommend Sanwa springs at 60 or 100 grams for an arcade style experience.
CONCLUDING THOUGHTS:
These buttons are good as a base for beatmania ASC.
However, most users will want to replace the switches and springs for something more arcade-feel.
Overall, these buttons were a good purchase for the price.
