Useless toy
Purchased a Pleasant Hearth fireplace insert. Big mistake. It arrived well packed, quickly, and undamaged. However, upon unpacking the device, I soon realized there were problems. While the insert was in good con- ditions, I realized the electric cord was far too short for my outlet. As a fireplace insert, the device will fit into a small firebox. No problem there. However in the US, any electric outlet must be located away from the hearth itself. A 3 1/2’-4’ electric cord is far too short to reach an outlet that typically is 6’-8’ from any heat operation. (Safety...fire hazard). Also, after removing the insert from my firebox, and plugging it in to check it’s operation, I found other problems. It would turn on and it barely lit up. What a joke! An pricey useless toy! It doesn’t even blow heat! Why make something that looks like a fireplace insert when it serves no purpose?Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Many flaws so don't waste your money !!
This is a waste of money for the price. The glow is horrible, the crackling sound is obnoxious sounds like 4th of July fireworks and there is no remote control so you have to keep putting the on/off and if you leave it in the on position and just unplug it from the outlet when you go to plug it back in so you dont have to fool around with the on switch, it doesn't go on so back to the on/off switch again...horrible setup !!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The led lights in are not bright enough, when it dims you can barely tell it's on. Some weir, something was dropped on package and broke thru the box and Styrofoam cracking the logs, but that is really not noticeable.
