These are excellent replacement pads for your classic Campy side-pulls. Pull out the old worn pads from the pad frame and push these babies in. (I use soap and water to lubricate the pads which makes installing so much easier. Dries clean and non-sticky, too. Be sure that the closed end of the pad frame is facing forward when reinstalling.
These pads are soft enough for good rim grip and give good modulation feedback. They'll probably last as long as most but the price is such that replacement even once a year isn't a burden. I have had no trouble with squeal on Mavic Open Pro rims - a very good thing.
These pads are a good buy that don't break the bank, fit easily on vintage brake pad frames, and the quality is as good as can be expected, Recommended all the way around.
I've bought three sets of these brake pads over several years. Seems awfully expensive for four little pieces of red rubber, but they fit my Campy pad holders well, they look good and stop my bike on a dime without screeching. So 5-stars for looks, quality and performance and a question mark on why they cost 6 bucks a piece, times 4 for a bike. My guess is the materials and manufacturing puts these babies at way under a dollar of actual cost.
These pads are the best replacements for use on 1970's / 1980's Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Super Record brake calipers. Any vintage bike I ride regularly has a set of these on it. Black or salmon, doesn't matter, just individual preference.
