Great remote, very simple but still has advanced features if you want them.

This remote is really a great design. Very simple to use and program but still has the flexibility to do any more advanced programming that you need if you require additional flexibility beyond what the basic programming gets you which works over 99% of the time. I wish Logitech still made remotes like this, they seem to have moved away from this methodology which is a shame.

Just an awkward, to handed Harmony One.

I don't know why I thought it would be different. It works exactly as all the other Harmony remotes. It can't reliably change inputs on an Oppo BDP-105, same on the Panasonic plasma. Only toggles(not separate on-off) the power on the Spectrum cable box, simply does not believe Roku exists. Seems okay with the Arcam AVR400. Very time consuming trying the get the sequences of commands and delays to sort of work for the various equipment and input combinations needed for activities. And even after fine tuning for days, trying different sequences and delays, it's extremely rare you don't have to use the help function to get it to set everything to the correct input and power state. Perhaps simpler setups with more mainstream gear might work better? But really, I only have a TV, AVR, Blu-ray, cable box and Roku. Really not worth the effort for me, totally not a timesaver.

  • Quality Product with great flexability!

As a highly satisfied customer of an originally purchased Harmony 1100 six years ago, it was a no-brainer to puchase another unit to control two new wide-screen HD TVs in different rooms. The tech staff at Logitech were extremely helpful in customizing the "new" Harmony 1100 to control the two new TVs we have. There is an instruction manual and a CD to help the tech-saavy person do-it-yourself. I opted to have knowledgeable staff do the work. It did cost $10.00 (plus tax) for their professional expertise, but for someone getting close to 70 years, it sure did beat hitting my head against the wall, trying to figure out the intricacies offered with this unit. The unit itself offers a touch-screen for choosing your input, with a keypad for entering your desired channel or using an up-down button for reaching your channel, also, an up-down volume control, mute button and previous channel button. There are a LOT more functions that can be incorporated into this unit. I was told that the unit can control 13 different devices. There is also a battery charge dock where you place the unit when it is not being used. This unit is no longer being made by Logitect ('Tis truly a shame), but they are available on-line. I saw one on Amazon for $469, but I opted to purchase one on e-bay for just over $100. Logitech makes high quality products. This unit delivers what is needed without fifty buttons on a remote control!

  • Best remote I have every used.

I love this remote. It is easy to use and controls almost any system you have. I have had two of these in 20 years, and I would buy again. Unfortunately, someone at Logitech decided not to make them anymore. So, I have to buy used now, and hope they are in good shape. (this one was) Come on Logitech, not everyone keeps the cell phone by their sides 24 hours a day.

  • Good device but software outdated.

This is a good product but it requires a separate account and local software on your computer. Later models use the online website. Some newer A/V devices are not in the software for this version. Unfortunately some of my gear is too new for the software and I have been unable to teach the remote using IR commands from the original device remote. If you have older A/V equipment it may work for you. .

  • This controller is one of the best to control 5+ devices.

The item allows you to control your stereo, playstation, xbox and record player with one device. The learning curve for the software does take some time. Once you get the profile setup you can use the same profile if the remote breaks and you need to get a new one remote. One of the best remotes you can buy,

  • Excellent remote

I wish Logitech still made these remotes as there is no other product available that comes close to their quality and ease of programming. I only gave it 4 stars because the battery was not included when I received it.

  • It's showing it's age but still works well.

I was replacing one that I had since 2009 when they came out with this unit as my old one finally took one too many drops on the floor. You still have to program it from an application on a PC which took me a while to figure out and there are some limitations such as what you can name activities but it works well.

  • Great

Awesome. Yet, If steps to activate on/off without crowed screen view with notices about aiming etc. That part is aggravating. With the hand remote 3 steps. 1. Turn ON/OFF, 2. Select HDMI, 3. Select OK. Should have a process to have an activity already on the screen. Then if you need to change the activities, one can select that. This may do it, and I'm not familiar yet.
