Impressive
It's been almost .....years since I bought an air rifle, and I have to tell ya, the Crosman .22 cal pellet Shockwave blew me away. The Nitro Piston tech is awesome, accuracy was so good I took the scope (that comes with it) off to make it more of a challenge. Lightweight and powerful. No Co2 to mess with. I'll be honest, I was disappointed when I first got it. It was hard to cock. I couldn't get the scope sighted in. It was louder than expected. After about 100 shots I took the scope off and was surprised by the accuracy. I placed the next 4 shots inside a dime at 50 feet. By now I noticed that I wasn't having as much trouble cocking the gun. It is still loud. By the time I put another 200 shots through it I noticed it is much easier to cock. It hits what I aim at. It isn't quite as loud, either. It all boils down to me becoming accustomed and confident with the gun. It still kicks more than my .22WMR and is harder to cock, but it is much, much cheaper and quieter to shoot. It has plenty of power to dispatch an occasional possum or rodent that invades the back porch. I love the sights. They are so easy to see in low light situations. I would love to shoot a few shots from competing rifles just for a comparison. As is, I am perfectly happy with my purchase and would buy it again if need arises.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value in a well made .22 gas piston
This a a solid pellet rifle. It has enough energy to drop squirrels and rabbit at least out to 50 feet. The trigger may not be competition grade, but it is certainly adequate. The included scope is adequate. The sights are good. By airgun standards, this has a loud report. That's not a problem for me, but it is definite factor in choosing what to shoot in some locations. It provides all the accuracy an off-hand shooter like me can use. The bench-rest shooters may quibble. For about $100, this shooter is hard to beat in my book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice Air Rifle
I haven't shot a gun in years but this seemed like the year to start again. I have owned all types of weapons in the past but this time I wanted something practical for an urban environment. Crosman has always been a standard in the air gun industry so when I saw the Crosman Shockwave at such a good price, I had to buy it. Great Air Rifle.
Nice quality .22 cal. air rifle. Looks great, shoots smooth, fast and powerful. Out of the box I needed to adjust the sights a little and now it is nice and accurate. I have not used the scope that comes with it because I like the factory open sights for my purposes but the scope looks fine. I paid $98. which was a steal for this rifle. The finish is really nice. shoots well
when I first mounted the scope I couldn't see clearly thru it... Was very blurry. So after looking at it I found you can adjust the focus at the front where you look thru it/ I must have turned that adjustment out 20 turns and about an inch before it was clear to look thru.. Then I took it out side and sighted it in.. All is good now,.. I love the gun. I will get a better scope in the future but this one is fine for now. The gun is made well and is a little on the heavy side , but feels balanced when you hold it in a firing position. I really like it..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
