For Your Best 78's
Quality Genuine Shure Stylus for playing 78's. Excellent Performance! It will fit some other Shure cartridges. I am using it in a Shure M-91E cartridge. It wouldn't fit my M-44, or V-15 III. I wish Shure would publish a list of compatible cartridges. I have found that some 78's need more than the recommended 3 grams tracking force to play properly, especially if the surface isn't perfectly flat. For 78's, I would prefer a recommended tracking force of up to 5 grams. So, for my Best 78's this is great! I have an old GE TriplePlay that I use for my less than perfect 78's, as I can use higher tracing forces with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Shure N78S Replacement Stylus for my Shure M78S cartridge
The Shure N78S replacement stylus for the Shure M78S magnetic Cartridge is the right stuff! it fits perfectly and tracks those old 78s well. The stylus is quite wide compared to other manufacturers products so it doesn't drag along the bottom of the groove to reproduce noise from all the dirt that those old 78s accumulate in the groove. It tracks the sides of the groove, giving a clearer less clicking and popping reproduction. For the 78 rpm disc enthusiast and archivist I highly recommend the N78S replacement Stylus.
