  • great saw!

Spend the extra money and buy this 10 inch saw. You will be glad you did. And the forward radial is the best! It really does save space. the laser works great but you have to brush it off pretty often. Just buy some little artist paint brushes (about a buck or two for a set) so you can reach the laser lens to brush it off. Also... the table for this saw is well worth the money as well. I am in a wheelchair and can roll right under the table, for easy reach. Craftsman still make some good tools, and this is a good quality saw.

  • Side to side wobble. Not impressed!

Not impressed with this saw. I’ve owned many compound miter saws. Does not keep square when pulled to slide out. Sold it a few days later. I Own a Makita 12” sliding compound that’s awesome and Used in my shop. Bought a Rigid for the job site. It’s really well built. This is well built but has a poorly designed sliding system.

  • A well made saw with great features

This is better than most good quality Craftsman products. Definitely a good buy and tremendous features compared to most compound miter saws. The main feature that attached me to this saw was the way the Sliding carriage works. Instead of the bars sliding through the frame at the read of the saw, the saw slides on fixed bars that don't more forward and backwards with the saw/motor. This feature allows the saw to be placed very close to a wall behind the saw. This is definitely a well made unit although it is pretty heavy if needed to be lifted.
